Help for Haiti

Natalie and Eileen Weckesser, daughters of Kevin Weckesser, '88, came up with a unique idea to help the people affected by the earthquake in Haiti. They made glass angel charms, which they sold for $2 each to family, friends and fellow parishioners of St. Mary's Church in Rochester. Niagara alumnus Art Roberts, '78, matched the funds the two girls raised and together they donated more than $2,000 to Catholic Relief Services and the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. Kevin Weckesser notes that more than 300 charms were sold, and that he and his wife, Mary, "are very proud of their hard work and compassion for others."
